Sophia Monday is the pseudonym of an Australian technology consultant, researcher and writer. Sophia’s academic and professional background includes research into network risk analysis which has led to a career advising in technosocial systems resilience. Her background in philosophy of science, critical theory and her lived experience of mind/body difference create the roots of her enquiries into embodiment and forms of knowledge.
Sophia writes about consciousness from multiple perspectives, currently focused on trauma, power and the uses (and abuses) of both. Her current focus is on the unpleasant realities of post-traumatic growth, and the poetic potential of using fear, chaos and confusion as tools of liberation.
Life is harsh and the strong always undergo the harshest tests. The only goal is to become real. Avoidance of suffering is the cause of suffering, therefore pain is to be embraced by those who would become free.
